Let Your Light Shine

Hello,

Often times we find ourselves in frenzy when others mistreat us. For instance, when the co-worker took the credit for your hard work and received the promotion, or the woman at the store who conveniently threw your change on the counter top. Do not fret. The word of the Lord cautions us to cease from anger and forsake wrath…Psalm 37:7-9. In those moments, choose to show forth the love of God by exhibiting peace and love.

Through every situation and circumstance the Lord gives us the opportunity to show forth his love. In times of hurt and despair, showing forth God’s love will open the eyes of the blind. Yes the blind!

Isaiah 35:2-5;10 is a great source of encouragement.

2.It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the Excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.

3.Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

4.Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

5.Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

10. And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

A key word in Isaiah 35:5 says “then” meaning after that or next. We must first fulfill the scriptures above. We must rejoice and to the fearful heart say Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Do not be tricked by the adversary for the thief comes not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy the sheep; I am come that they might have life and that they might have it in abundance.…. John 10:10.The thief is the enemy; the opposing force that attempts to discourages us and tears us down. But what relief that The Lord Our Savior has come that we might have life.

Be encouraged this day. Know that you are loved and you are love. Let your light shine a midst the darkness.

Love,

Rachael
